Many dangerous characters covet the mysterious artifact called the Eye of the Moon, and perhaps the most dangerous character is a stranger who massacred a small portion of the local population several years ago. History seems to be repeating itself as the eclipse nears in this interesting (and at times funny) supernatural fantasy. This novel is unusual in its style and even the title. There is no one primary protagonist but rather a cast of many characters. The story unfolds somewhat chronologically but interweaves perspectives of the characters. As their individual stories intersect, the reader begins to see that pieces of the ultimate puzzle take shape and fall into place.
