wow this book was sick and twisted! I loved it!
Omg! This book was awesome! It only took me like a day to read and I couldn't stop. It was so surprising and it made me angry when it ended. It was extremely good, just like The Hunger Games. The story is just one that is easy for anyone to follow and fall in love with.
This book, if you can suspend the "no way all this can happen to one guy" logic, is laugh out loud funny. I know because so far I've been laughing outloud. I really like Coupland's abstract word files thrown in the mix. Strange and artsy but appropriate.
I expected the plot to move a bit quicker than it did. It's a story about a Contessa. She is going blind and her father or her husband do not believe her. The only person who belives her is her life long friend and neighbor Turri. He is an inventer and is in love with her. He makes her a"writting machine" it's the typewritter! It is a fast read, and most enjoyable! I also loved the cover! :)
"Maman died today. Or maybe it was yesterday. I don't remember." Anothe memorable opening line. My favorite part is the discussion with the priest in the prison cell.
