Ben sadece bundan vazgeçtim. Gerçekten dört gözle bekliyordum. Öncül ilginç, hatta biraz aptal oldu. Ama konuşmaları gösteren noktalama eksikliğini aşamadım. Denedim. Gerçekten yaptım. Ama bu çok dikkat dağıtıcıydı ve çok fazla tekrar okumama neden oldu. Şimdi bir sonrakine!
A fictionalized account of the lives of two brilliant 20th century mathematicians: Kurt Godel and Alan Turing. It offers insight into the essence of tortured brilliance, but is somewhat thematically shallow. I was expecting that a novel on such complex men to be equally complex, but it settled on particular aspects of their respective characters and drew them out over the course of the book. Overall, it was an easy, interesting and satisfying read, but certain aspects of it were somewhat disappointing.
I enjoyed the book, but I felt like the author was holding back a little. I was hoping to gain more insight into what it really feels like to be transgendered, but I don't think the author went past the "I want to wear pretty things" aspect. I would have liked to have gone deeper.
This was an enjoyable book to listen to on my commute home. The story revolved around one of the older daughters of Czar Nicholas, Tatiana, not Anastasia. The cast of characters is there, inclding Rasputin. As a work of historical fiction, the author paints a vivid picture of Russia at the beginning of the revolution. A simple, but cpativating tale.
This was wonderful! The writing is great and the characters are extremely realistic. I would reccommend this to anyone!
