I love most of Steve Martini's novels featuring Paul Madriani, an attorney who gets involved in investigations. This one was one of my favorites, because I found it a little confusing. He didn't tie up the loose ends and this drives me crazy in mysteries. I was still left with questions. But, I would recommend trying some of the other mysteries he wrote.
This was a well written, very sad book. I was a bit bored at the start, but as the book progressed I found it a little more interesting. People were raving about it on the Amazon reviews but for some reason, I found my mind drifting while reading. I think the author was trying to honor and work out her grief about her friend and her dog by writing the book and so on that level, I liked it. But I did find myself crying too much while reading it and, while I don't mind books that are sad, I found this one to be too sad. As someone with a few family members that had cancer, I think the book just hit too close to home. Some of her insights about death were memorable and meaningful. My favorite being the thought, "What if death isn't a bad thing?" I would only recommend this book to people who don't mind being made to feel sad. The book is an outpouring of grief so if you enjoy that, you might like it. A nice memoir about a short but intense friendship ended by death.
About a young woman who has everything she could really want or need yet is still unhappy. A story told in Paulo Coelho's style, which I happen to like, about how her mind becomes free and she she becomes unafraid to afraid to take chances and live life to the fullest. This book is one of my top 3 favorites. It empowers me every time I read it.
I loved this book. My friend paul gave it to me to read. It was amazing. Took me 2 days to read and it was so enjoyable but disturbing. If you dont want to tarnish your concept of John Lennon then dont read this book.
one that i might have missed if given another chance. my before-read image of how good this one could be might have ruined it but it missed in alot of pages that i turned into.
