Bu kitaba girmek biraz zamanımı aldı ama Dex ve Em'in ne olacağını gerçekten bilmek istedim. Kitabı indiremedim.

Yet another book that I picked up and put down - and eventually will pick back up again - in my field you can only read so much before becoming perpetually pissed off or depressed. Those who want to hear the voices of those that have been screwed over in a fenceline community and are all about the grassroots, read it. Lerner has created an important piece of work. Also, be warned that if you are the knit-picky type, yes, the manuscript could have used another round of editing.

I did not read the book, I have seen its movie... It is also a good narration of Fascism

Persephone and Penelope are witches about to begin their first season. Ally, their faithful friend and governess has trained them how to keep their magic secret and mingle with polite society. Persy is more nervous than excited. Crowds make her nervous and boys make her moreso. All she would really like to do is be a teacher. There is one boy, though that catches her fancy. Lochinvar is an old family friend, since the last time she saw him four years ago he has grown into a charming, handsome young man. In London, things go awry when Ally turns up missing. Penelope and Persy discover that she is being held in Kensington Palace and that someone might be trying to use her power against Princess Victoria. Then there is the love spell debacle. Feeling a little punch-drunk and upset, Persy tries a love spell on Lochinvar. When he starts paying attention to her, she instantly regrets it and does her best to try and ignore him and put him off. She even tries her hand at flirting with some other young gentlemen, in hopes that the spell will wear off and he will find someone else to love. She couldn't bear to have him with the thought that he only loves her because of a spell. She also hears rumors that Lochinvar might have a certain prejudice against witches. (view spoiler) Persy got a little annoying to me in this one. She acted ridiculous a lot of the time. I liked Penelope better, so I'm excited that the next book is about her. All the characters in this book were unique and full of personality. I like the setting as well and magic is always fun. The writing felt a little bogged down in places, but it was mostly fluid.
