April 4-5, 2016 Yeah, I'm gonna have to agree with my previous thoughts on this book. I mostly reread it to listen to the relationship development between Peabody and McNab (also, this is the book where Peabody meets Charles Monroe, so that was interesting!), and Eve Christmas shopping buying was fun, but the rest of the book? No thank you. I didn't remember that this one had sexual homicides. I hate those. PLUS (big spoilers) (view spoiler) And really, the Santa killer thing is just sick. The ending was intense!!! (view spoiler) In summary: Pros: Peabody/McNab's first date (sorta), Peabody meets Charles, Eve + Christmas presents Cons: Everything else February 4-5, 2012 This is NOT my favorite In Death book. I don't know what it is about it, but this one just didn't click with me. The ending is certainly cuh-razy, and intense, but the bad guy? Blegh. I dunno. Just not my favorite. March 3-5, 2011 Okay, so I'm on book 20 now. I hate when I put off reviewing until I'm farther into the series! It makes it SO HARD to remember what happened in each specific book, but I found an "in death" wiki, so I think I'm good to go. This book was good. A couple of the characters were CREEP-OLA, but it was good. The storyline was all right. Not my favorite thus far. I'm not a big fan (understatement) of Christmas books, so already, I was like, "BLEGH!" The killer's M.O. was fairly silly, and revolved around the 12 days of Christmas. It actually ends up sorta making sense though when you find out who did it and what their motivation was. My favorite part was DEFINITELY when Peabody and McNab have their "dates" in Roarke's club... *snorts* There is so much sexual tension between those two, it's just bound to snap soon!
