Professor Stein was one of my college professors, and I got to work with him as a teacher in a professional development session for teachers. He is brillaint and this book is written so that most can understand it. I even have a signed copy!

I loved this book. I read it in three days. I just kept wanting to read it. It's tragic -- how could it not be, based on the subject matter. But what I loved was the way we went back and forth between the present and past. I thought the connections between the characters, past and present, was great. Not overdone.
