Haneen Al Al itibaren Itambé do Mato Dentro - MG, Brezilya
enjoyed reading it a lot! funny and witty :)
Good book, a bit slow at times. Predecessor to The Grapes of Wrath, showing the inner workings of strikes.
This book is way different from the movie. The characters barely resemble their film counterparts. But, it is still a very smart spy book. Twists and turns on every page and all that. One problem I had with it was the love story component. The romantic relationship was just to cheesy to believe. At points it event felt like a trashy romance novel and I had to pause and check the cover to be sure I didn't pick up another book or something. Ok, so i kinda went on a tangent there but this was kind of a sizable portion of the story so it irked me to no end. Summary: throw out the love story, keep the rest.
More than any book I've ever read, this one really captured that special, heartwarming brand of female cruelty.
