I learned pomo from this book. I also learned about macro- and micro-narratives, and about the many many forms gay desire can take.

I only gave this book 3 stars because it made me feel like an idiot--it probably really deserves at least a 4. I always find Gibson challenging, largely because I am not a practiced enough sci-fi reader to get what he's doing. As a result, I find myself obsessing over the fact that there a million things going on that I'm just not getting. This book was no exception. In some ways this book is made more challenging by the fact that so much sci fi has ripped it off in the past twenty years (even I know that). I would recommend this for sci-fi fans; for those who aren't comfortable in the genre, this one's tough!
