Okay, Artistically this book is worth quite a bit more than the two stars given since the language used is superb and genius, however, the storyline was really not a thrill. The novel is one big drug trip and therefore you can't really find your way in the jumble of scenes presented. Thus, the book is great in its conception and language, however, I couldn't bring myself to keep reading it since I couldn't keep going without a main storyline.
What an odd idea for a book. Victorian-era magic tricks, Nikolai Tesla, and science fiction all blended together in a delicious soup. I'd give it more stars but some of the plot points are a bit of a cop-out, frankly.
This book was inspiring and depressing all at the same time. There is so much we don't know about what goes on out there in the world. I felt like I need to step out of my bubble once in a while and look around after I read this book.
