I read this book last year and had to read it again! It's one of those books that is perfect to read when you're transitioning in life.
I read this for book club. It was well-written, but the content is a bit disturbing. It made me more aware of some of the atrocities happening in the world, which was both eye-opening and depressing at the same time. I hated the ending, but I appreciate that the author was true to reality rather than providing a fluffy finish.
I found this inspirational and easy to understand. Adults and kids could understand it.
I love Jan Thomas, especially for preschool storytime. Her illustrations are bold and colorful and her stories are short and sweet, but always funny. Will be trying this out with as a storytime soon.
